Why Diversity in this Unity.....

globalization

One of my friends wanted to buy a Yamaha FZ-S, when we enquired the price it costs around 80k in Bangalore where as 75k and 68k in Chennai and Pondicherry. Do we really need such differences across the country?. Lets take more examples, the telecommunication industry, India is one the few countries having the concept of STD and national roaming. Most of the countries consider any call within the country as local. There are more such things as petrol prices, local taxes etc. When we speak about the economy we always point to the collective growth of the country.I am not trying to point out the cost of living, which depends on resource, size and population of the city but the price of essential and common commodities should not be influenced. On the other hand the inflation is adding up prices to all products from Idly to Gold again the same difference in inflation exist from city to city. As a beautiful citizen and not an economist hoping these things vanish down the lane .....
